It’s easy to hold onto the potential of someone, to convince yourself that if you love harder, stay longer, or give more, they’ll eventually meet you where you are. But the truth is, you can’t force someone to be the version of themselves that exists only in your head. Let go of the idea of who they could be and accept who they are.
Your peace matters. Your energy is sacred. Stop pouring into people who keep showing you they don’t deserve your light. Let them be who they are—just don’t let that be at the cost of your own well-being.
