Losing a Bond

 Hey mindful soul,

Losing a bond you thought you’d have forever…
That kind of grief hits different.

It’s not just the person you lose — it’s the shared laughter, the plans, the inside jokes, the sense of safety you felt in their presence. It’s the way you thought they’d always be part of your story. And then suddenly, they’re not.

It changes you.

It teaches you about impermanence. About how even the deepest connections can fade. It hardens some parts of you, softens others. You become more careful with your trust. More protective of your peace. You stop believing in “forever” so easily.

But don’t let it make you bitter. Let it make you honest. Let it make you choose people who stay, who show up, who grow with you — not away from you.

Some bonds are seasonal. Others are soul-deep.
And healing is learning to tell the difference.
